Why This Resource Exists
St. Louis County has several systems that can look similar while serving different purposes. The Department of Justice Services operates the Buzz Westfall Justice Center and its public inmate locator. St. Louis County Police maintains law-enforcement records. The county court has a separate Sheriff Department for court-support work. Missouri DOC, MOVANS/VINE, Case.net, BOP, and ICE cover other stages or jurisdictions.
This site brings those routes into a readable structure. It distinguishes current county custody from a release in the past 72 hours, a city police report, a court disposition, state supervision, and federal detention. That separation helps prevent a missing roster result from being mistaken for proof that no arrest occurred.
Independent and Unaffiliated
This is not a government website. It is not connected with St. Louis County, Justice Services, St. Louis County Police, the court Sheriff Department, the Missouri Department of Corrections, or any city police department. We cannot confirm custody, release a person, change a court record, remove an official image, provide legal advice, or act for an agency.
No official roster or record is stored here. Readers are directed to the government office or locator responsible for the information. An arrest or booking photo reflects an accusation, not guilt. The court record is the source for a later disposition.
How Sources Are Chosen
Official sources lead. For St. Louis County custody, that means the Justice Services locator and custody contact. Police reports belong with County Police Central Records or the arresting municipal department. Case.net and the issuing court supply case status. Missouri DOC covers active state custody, probation, or parole, while federal agencies maintain separate locators.
News reports and commercial databases may be discussed only as secondary discovery tools. Their coverage can be selective, copied, delayed, or wrong. They do not replace the official source, and this site does not host a booking-photo gallery.
