This is not a government office and is not affiliated with St. Louis County, a sheriff, jail, police department, court, or corrections agency. We cannot confirm custody or release, retrieve an official record, change a charge, remove a photo, or deliver a message to a person in custody.
Current County Custody
For a person currently held at the Buzz Westfall Justice Center, or for a recent county release, contact the jail operator:
St. Louis County Department of Justice Services100 South Central Avenue
Clayton, MO 63105
Phone: 314-615-5245
Email: JSocial@stlouiscountymo.gov
County materials describe Justice Services as operating continuously.
Justice Services, not the court Sheriff Department, operates county custody. Start with the official inmate locator before calling. The active filter covers current custody, while the released filter reaches back 72 hours.
County Police Records
Requests for a St. Louis County Police incident or arrest report belong with Central Police Records:
St. Louis County Police Central Records7900 Forsyth Boulevard, Room B-013
Clayton, MO 63105
Phone: 314-615-5317
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
County Police says reports are generally available about ten days after the incident. A request should include the report number, the reason for the request, and the requester’s involvement. For a Justice Services booking sheet or intake photograph, identify Justice Services as the likely custodian instead of assuming Central Records holds it.
City and Court Records
Florissant, Chesterfield, and Clayton police departments retain reports for arrests they make. A city record does not become a County Police record merely because the person was later booked at the Justice Center. Use the city police records process when the municipal department created the report.
Case status, hearing dates, and disposition belong with Case.net or the issuing circuit or municipal court. Warrant questions are also court-specific. County court materials list 314-615-8899 for warrant questions and 314-615-8029 as the main court number, but callers should confirm current information on the official court website.
State and Federal Questions
Missouri DOC handles records for active state prisoners and people under state probation or parole. BOP handles federal prisoners, while ICE maintains its own detainee locator. MOVANS/VINE provides custody and court notifications. None of those systems is a substitute for the St. Louis County custody locator.
